The direct answer
BIMI does not guarantee inbox placement or stop spam. Its role is brand display on top of authentication; delivery and filtering decisions remain with the receiving provider.
Why are BIMI and deliverability often discussed together?
A BIMI project can involve improving authentication and organising sending practices. Those are valuable activities, but any change in campaign performance needs to be evaluated on its own evidence.
Do not infer causation from a logo appearing at the same time as a better campaign result. The audience, message, timing and sending infrastructure may also have changed.
What should I investigate if mail reaches spam?
Start with authentication results, delivery responses, provider guidance and the health of your sending programme. Review recipient expectations and complaint patterns with the team responsible for email.
Track logo visibility separately from placement. A certificate purchase is not a substitute for resolving delivery failures, and an absent logo is not by itself a diagnosis of a spam problem. Use a measurement plan that preserves that distinction.
